Fashion Goes Social: The Devil Wears Prada and Tweets About It

Panel of experts exploring how social media is used in the fashion industry -and the opportunities it presents. Specific attention will be paid to the challenge of keeping luxury brands exclusive and aspirational while still leveraging the wide-ranging (and very accessible) power of social media, how to capitalize on community, and the ethical questions implicit in partnerships between brands and bloggers. Featuring engaging, forward-looking panelists from across the brand side as well as the editorial side, touching on old media, new media, multi-media and social media.

We are honored to announce our esteemed panelists:

Orli Sharaby is a Senior Social Marketing Strategist at 360i, where she has develops and executes integrated social marketing campaigns for a range of fashion, retail, lifestyle and CPG brands. In a previous life, Orli was a fashion and style writer for several regional magazines in Prague, Czech Republic, before moving back to her native New York to cover fashion for PSFK.com and apply her experience to the nascent field of social marketing. Orli has been at 360i for over two years, and has previously worked at Renegade Marketing.

Deirdre Sullivan is a Social Media, PR, & Partnership Director at ideeli. Deirdre has 15 years experience working in media on the editorial, promotional, and marketing side. In her current position at ideeli she received a nod from Mashable as having one of the most engaging fashion pages on Facebook. Previous clients have included: Viacom, TNT / Turner Broadcasting, The Frisky / Turner Broadcasting, Conde Nast Publications / Lucky Magazine, & Time Inc. / InStyle Magazine

Yuli Ziv is a co-founder and Editor-In-Chief of MyItThings, leading user generated fashion magazine and community. She is also a founding member of Style Coalition, an alliance of independent online publishers in the fashion vertical. Style Coalition is responsible for the creation of Inside The Tents, the first portal for the coverage of NY Fashion Week in the social media. Yuli is an avid speaker on the topic of social media as it relates to the fashion industry. She organizes and leads the Fashion 2.0 discussion panels and networking event series in NYC, bringing together fashion and technology worlds.

Moderator:

Andrew Cedotal is a Contributing Editor at Mediaite and the Men's Style Editor at the soon-to-be-launched Styleite. A graduate of Yale College, Andrew prefers Harris tweed to Donegal.
